Augusta Foodie Festival planned for Oct. 31 and Nov. 1

Foodie Fest meets Halloween at the Augusta Exchange Club fairgrounds on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1.

The inaugural Augusta Foodie Festival will feature a Halloween theme with more than two dozen food and dessert vendors, live music and a costume contest that pays $100, according to a news release. It will be open from noon to 10 p.m. Halloween and noon to 8 p.m. Nov. 1.

Kids can follow the Trick or Treat Vendor Trail, collecting candy from participating booths while adults can head to the Beverage Garden. The Family Fun Zone will offer bounce houses, face painting and pumpkin decorating, and the festival adds a Halloween photo experience, DJ sets and live performances on the main stage.

The costume contest is judged live on stage and open to all ages. A kid’s costume contest runs in the Family Fun Zone. Contestants can reserve a spot ahead of time with a free RSVP on the festival website, the news release continued.

The festival is produced by Foodies of Atlanta, the team behind the Atlanta Foodie Festival, which ran Sept. 19 and 20. Admission to the festival is free. For more information, go here.
