Need to publicize an event? Want to have your business associated with the positive side of news in Augusta and reach thousands of local residents a month?

Advertise at Augusta Good News - a hyperlocal news organization and member of the Georgia Press Association.

Since November 2022, the Augusta Good News’ team has covered the stories that highlight what makes the Augusta community a rich place to live, work and play. Articles focus on areas affecting our quality of life, highlighting people, non-profit organizations, sports and the wealth of arts and entertainment the city has to offer.

Advertising packages start at $200 a month with multiple locations available on the website. Also, there are spots in the bi-monthly print magazine “Inspiring: Women of Augusta” that begin at $300 per two-month issue.

Augusta Good News is local award-winning news coverage by local people. In June, Charmain Z. Brackett placed first in sports feature writing and Mike Adams won eight photography awards at the Georgia Press Association conference. Also, the Greater Augusta Arts Council named Augusta Good News its media winner at its annual banquet.

But it’s more than a newspaper; it’s a movement. And it's gaining momentum for people who want to know the good things happening in our area.

Founded by Charmain Z. Brackett, who has more than 36 years of hometown journalism experience, Augusta Good News features the photography of Mike Adams, Augusta's favorite cocktail and food aficionado Ann Beth Strelec also known as Naked Epicurean;  Christopher Rickerson, with sports; plus other great writers.

In our archives, you can find the columns of our dear friend, Don Rhodes, the legendary columnist who wrote his last newspaper column for Augusta Good News prior to his June 9, 2023, death at the age of 77. And his sister continues to share his writings posthumously.
