Members of the Augusta Ballet performed several short works and “The Selfish Giant” for a Saturday morning in the park performance Sept. 26 at the Columbia County Amphitheatre behind the Evans Library.
Ron and Kathleen Jones started their ballet school in Martinez in 1985 and wrapped up their 40th performing season in the spring. The ballet company has performed on the stage 20 years ago for the library’s grand opening.
Works included “Runaway Horses”, “Joy”, “Great Scott” and “The Selfish Giant”. Ballet Toute le Monde is an adaptive ballet class, and dancers performed to “Do Re Mi” from “The Sound of Music.”
