Augusta Earth Day event set for April 25

Celebrate Earth Day Augusta 2026 on Saturday, April 25.

The free, family-friendly event, scheduled for10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Augusta Common, will feature interactive exhibits, live demonstrations, educational booths and family-friendly activities, along with information on sustainability, water conservation and environmental protection, according to a news release from the city of Augusta.

“This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to protecting Augusta’s natural resources and educating our community on sustainable practices,” said Wes Byne, Director of Augusta Utilities. “Earth Day Augusta provides an opportunity for residents to connect with the people and programs working every day to preserve our environment.”

hosted by the Augusta Engineering and Environmental Services Department, Augusta Utilities, and the Phinizy Center for Water Sciences, will bring together local government departments, environmental organizations, and community partners for a day of education, entertainment, and hands-on activities focused on sustainability and conservation.

Through this partnership, attendees will be able to engage directly with experts from participating departments and organizations, learn about ongoing environmental projects, and discover simple ways to make a meaningful impact at home and in their community.
