Gulf Coast Industrial, an ASRC Industrial company, hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 16, 2025, to mark the grand reopening of its Specialty Fireproofing & Coatings Facility in Augusta.
A fire destroyed the original structure in Fall 2024. Gulf Coast Industrial spent six months rebuilding the state-of-the-art facility from the ground up. The newly completed 52,000-square-foot building now stands as one of the largest and most advanced industrial paint shops in the Southeast.’
“This is more than a rebuild—it’s an investment in the future of our workforce, our clients, and the industries we serve,” said TW Jackson, Vice President of Industrial Services at ASRC Industrial, in a news release. “We’re proud to reintroduce a facility that reflects the strength and resilience of our team and our long-term commitment to operational excellence.”

The upgraded facility features:
• Two 15-ton overhead cranes spanning 70 feet and running the 310-foot length of the facility
• 30-ton abrasive hoppers for high-volume project execution
• A new 30-person training center to support workforce development and hands-on safety instruction
• A four-acre secured yard for optimized logistics
• Certified capabilities for coating, fireproofing, and surface prep—including AMPP QP1, QP2 and QS1certifications and NACE-certified inspectors.
The facility can meet the needs of multiple business sectors including power, pulp & paper, oil & gas, food & beverage, water & wastewater, industrial manufacturing, chemical, EV battery manufacturing, automotive and government.
It is equipped to handle projects of significant complexity and scale. Gulf Coast Industrial specializes in industrial painting and protective coatings for fabricated steel, piping, tanks and intumescent fireproofing applications.
