The first day of the 2025-2026 school year will be here soon, and the United Way of the CSRA is gearing up for Stuff the Bus — its annual school supply drive.
“When you donate to United Way of the CSRA’s Stuff the Bus, you’re giving more than notebooks and crayons. You’re giving a child the confidence to raise their hand, the joy of feeling prepared, and the message that someone in their community cares,” according to a news release.

Some families are unable to afford school supplies and some children will walk into the classroom on the first day of school without a backpack or even a pencil.
Through July 17, drop off new school supplies during business hours at United Way of the CSRA, 1765 Broad St.; WJBF, 1336 Augusta West Pkwy.; CSCM Furniture & Decor, 211 Bobby Jones Expressway, Suite D, Martinez; and Riverwatch Dental, 4214 Washington Rd, Evans.
Collection events are scheduled for Sunday, July 13 at the Augusta GreenJackets Game at SRP Park, gates open at 5:05 p.m.; from 8 a.m. to noon, Friday, July 18 at the Kroc Center, 1833 Broad St.; and from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, July 19 at Walmart, 1500 N. Liberty St, Waynesboro.
