A new restaurant with a catchy hashtag recently opened at Augusta Mall.

#WhosYourMadre encapsulates everything Taco Madre literally brings to the table — “a fun dining atmosphere, a family-culture dedicated team, that’s ‘got your back’ and most importantly, amazing tasting food,’” according to a news release.

Located in the space formerly used by Moe’s Southwest Grill at Augusta Mall, Taco Madre celebrated its opening with a ribbon cutting Saturday, July 22 and a sneak peek event on July 20.

Founded in Montgomery, Ill. In 2014, Taco Madre is a family-owned business. The quick service restaurant offers “authentic Mexican street tacos and traditional eats, but also a menu of refreshing, delicious margaritas and one-of-a-kind, custom-made ‘Madre Style tacos. Combining their love of making good food sourced from the freshest ingredients from local farmers is what they anticipate will set them apart from the competition. Taco Madre Augusta JV Partner, Andrea Herenton summarizes it best, ‘It’s where Mexican street tacos meet upscale fusion dining.’” the release said.

In the fall, Taco Madre will send out its taco trucks. A schedule will be posted here.

Taco Madre will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and Sunday and from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
