‘Shop With a Cop’ benefits Richmond County students

About 30 Richmond County students participated in Richmond County School Safety and Security’s annual “Shop With a Cop” Saturday, Dec. 17 at Walmart, 3338 Wrightsboro Rd.

The students met with officers and walked through the store to select gifts for their families, according to a news release from the Richmond County school system.

“Shop with a Cop is the highlight of our year. Our officers look forward to this experience with our students to bring some holiday cheer to families in our school system. We enjoy witnessing the students’ excitement while choosing gifts,” said Chief Mantrell Wilson.

This is the third year that Walmart has served as the title sponsor for the event.
