Professional rodeo comes to Aiken fairgrounds June 20-21

AIKEN – Top cowboys and cowgirls in the region are saddling up to compete in Aiken to
become world champions.

Sanctioned by the International Pro Rodeo Association, the Aiken Pro Rodeo on June 20 and
21 will include eight events that count toward World Championship titles, according to a news release.

The Western Carolina State Fairgrounds will be the site for competitions in bareback riding, steer wrestling, saddle bronc riding, tie down roping, cowgirls breakaway roping, team roping, cowgirls barrel
racing and bull riding.

Fans also can enjoy the beer garden, food trucks, live music and a VIP section for sponsors.

Tickets cost $20 per day for adults and $10 for children 6 to 12 years old (age 5 and under are

For the safety of all guests, there will be a security screening at the entrance, and a clear bag
policy will be enforced. All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult 25 or older.
