Westside High School students lined Patriots Way to sent their basketball team to the state tournament March 9.

The Patriots won the AA title in 2022 defeating cross-town rival Butler High School in the finals 64-55 in Macon.

Tikki Middleton, in her first year as Westside’s principal, said she was especially proud of this team because she has watched many of the starters as they’ve grown up. She was their principal when they were at Tutt Middle School.

The Patriots take on Providence Christian at 3 p.m. March 9.
