GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Augusta women were unable to gain ground in the final round of the Lady Paladin and come in sixth place overall in the 12 team field. Alabama was the runaway winner. Sara Adams went low on Sunday firing a 4-under-par 68 to lead the Jaguars.
Adams had three birdies, an eagle and one bogey on the day and finished 11th overall.
After struggling on Saturday, Puntita Pawichai rebounded with an even-par 72. Pawichai rolled home three birdies on the day.
Danielle Higbee shot 78 on Sunday in a round that featured just one birdie.
Sofia Valera shot 79 for the final team-counting score.
McKinley Holding shot 80.
Luciana Reis shot a 1-over-par 73 Sunday as she competed as an individual.
Augusta will next be in action Oct. 4-7 at The Ally hosted by Mississippi St.
