NORTH AUGUSTA – May 21 was Third Thursday and brought a flurry of activity in downtown North Augusta.

At the Arts and Heritage Center of North Augusta, people viewed the North Augusta Cultural Arts Council’s student art show and took part in making some art of their own.

A community mural celebrating the United States of America’s 250th birthday will feature the handiwork of residents who stopped by to paint one of the tiles for the piece. It will be on display in the center.

Multiple downtown businesses participated in Third Thursday.

Several musicians were part of the Upbeat Music Series.

Chris Hardy played his original music at Shoppe 3130 / Sweet Fig Market and Gifts; Bethany and Keith of Bethany and the Southside Boys sang outside Cavalier Coffee and The Mason Jars played tunes in the courtyard behind Brinks Tavern.
