NORTH AUGUSTA – It was Christmas Colonial-era style Nov. 25 at North Augusta’s Living History Park.

Christmas in the Backcountry gives glimpses into how people would’ve celebrated the holiday in the 1700s.

Reenactors showed what life was like during the era, and there were stories, cookies and cider and visits with Father Christmas. Also, people could make winter bird feeders and the park volunteers collected pet food for a local animal shelter.
