In pictures: Youth football teams clash at Gridiron Classic

NORTH AUGUSTA — Youth football teams from North Augusta and Columbia County battled during the second annual Gridiron Classic Nov. 18 at North Augusta High School.

“The Gridiron Classic is a friendly battle between Columbia County Youth Football and North Augusta Youth Football,” according to a news release from Cassidy Harris, public relations manager for Columbia County.

The 9-10 year-olds played first followed by 11-12 year-olds.

Fans packed out the crowd and donated canned goods for Golden Harvest Food Bank to participate in a raffle at the stadium.

In the first match up, North Augusta came out on top of the Columbia County team which had been undefeated for three years.
