Goodwill opens donation center in North Augusta

Goodwill of Middle Georgia & the Central Savannah River Area opened a new donation center Feb. 28 in North Augusta.

Located in the parking lot of The Highlander, at 133B Georgia Ave., the new location provides a convenient way for residents to donate gently used clothing, furniture and household items, helping to support Goodwill’s mission of transforming lives through education and employment, according to a news release.

“By donating to Goodwill, you’re not just giving away things you no longer need—you’re investing in the success of people in our community,” said Jennifer Tyner, Vice President for Marketing and Development. “Your donations matter. Every item you donate helps us provide essential job training and support to those who need it most in our community.”

The center will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Every donation supports job training, education, and career development programs that help individuals build lives and communities.

“Goodwill’s impact extends far beyond its stores. Proceeds from donated goods help fund job training programs, résumé workshops, and career services that equip individuals with the skills they need to secure sustainable employment. Through these efforts, Goodwill continues to foster economic growth and self-sufficiency throughout the region,” the news release said.
