Road work continues in Columbia County, and here are a few places to watch out for in the next few weeks.
There are a few spots on Furys Ferry Road that will be affected according to a news release from Columbia County.
Due to utility installation, the intersection of Southern Pines Drive and Furys Ferry Road will see lane closures from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. from Monday, Jan. 27 to Friday, Feb. 7.
Utility installation will impact the intersection of Hammonds Ferry and Furys Ferry Road with lane closures from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. from Wednesday, Jan. 29 to Friday, Jan. 31.
A traffic signal upgrade will cause lane closures at Evans to Locks Road and Columbia Industrial Boulevard from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28 to Tuesday, Feb. 11.
“Whenever you approach a work zone: slow down; allow extra distance between vehicles; watch for advanced warning signs; obey road crew flaggers; and expect the unexpected. If possible, please plan to take an alternate route and/or allow additional time for commuting during this timeframe,” the release said.
