A family-favorite event with various vehicles and machines to benefit the Children’s Miracle Network during Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month returns on Sept. 12
In its seventh year, Meet A Machine will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Augusta Regional Airport, according to a news release.
The events gives children and adults the chance to get close to the vehicles and equipment that keep the community moving, protected, and connected. From fire trucks, police vehicles, and rescue units, to aircraft, construction machinery, drones, a race car, monster truck, McQueen Augusta, tow and garbage trucks, and more, attendees can meet the professionals behind the machines.
“Meet A Machine has become a tradition that families across our region look forward to every year,” said Herbert Judon, Executive Director of Augusta Regional Airport. “Augusta Regional Airport is proud to host events that bring people together while supporting causes that truly make a difference. We’re honored that the proceeds from this event will benefit the Children’s Hospital of Georgia’s Children’s Miracle Network during Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month, helping provide hope for children and families throughout our community.”
Kids 12 and under receive free entry, and adult tickets are $5. Admission proceeds will benefit the Children’s Hospital of Georgia’s Children’s Miracle Network in recognition of Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month, helping provide critical care and support for local children and their families.
In addition to exploring dozens of vehicles and equipment displays, guests can enjoy interactive exhibits, family-friendly activities, food vendors, and opportunities to learn about careers in aviation, public safety, emergency response, engineering, construction, and other industries.
