Augusta Locally Grown’s indoor farmers’ market opens April 18 

Augusta Locally Grown, an organization committed to “fostering community wellness through local farm food,” will reopen its Veggie Park Indoor Farmers Market for the 2024 season from 4 to 7 p.m., April 18 at the Hub for Community Innovation Augusta.

“Opening day promises a jubilant celebration, featuring two bustling corridors adorned with multiple farmer and artisan vendors hailing from all across Georgia and South Carolina,” according to a newss release from Augusta Locally Grown. “Visitors can anticipate a delightful array of season-fresh vegetables, fruits, artisanal honeys, baked goods, assortment of plants and more. Exciting activities for all ages await, including a kids’ bingo table with vegetable-themed prizes, vibrant beats spun by a live DJ, and tantalizing food tasting demonstrations showcasing the best of the vendors’ produce.”

The Veggie Park Indoor Farmers Market be open from 4 to 7 p.m. every Thursday at the Hub for Community Innovation Augusta until mid-December.

“This ongoing commitment reinforces Augusta Locally Grown’s dedication to fostering community resilience, supporting local farmers and promoting access to fresh, nutritious foods.
