GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Augusta women moved up one spot at the Lady Paladin on Sept. 19 and are now in fourth place at 2-under-par with one round to play. Alabama is the leader with Xavier in second and High Point in third at 3-under-par.
Sofia Valera and Sara Adams led the Jags with both shooting a 2-under-par-70.
Valera, a sophomore, had three birdies and one bogey on the day and is even-par overall, in 16th place.
Adams had five birdies and three bogeys on the scorecard and moved up 17 spots on the leaderboard and is now in a tie for 18th place.
McKinley Holding had a solid day with an even-par 72. Holding had three birdies, a bogey and a double bogey on the scorecard.
Danielle Higbee had the final counting team score with a 73. Higbee had a pair of birdies.
Puntita Pawichai shot 79, which did not go towards the team score.
Playing as an individual, Luciana Reis shot 1-over-par 73. Reis had a pair of birdies and three bogeys on the round.
Sunday’s final 18 holes will be a shotgun start at 9 a.m. at the Furman University Golf Club.
