Growing Augusta: Arts, Agriculture, & Agency will present the free Sunset in South Augusta: A Community Happy Hour on from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13. at Cambridge Park, 3650 Oxford Drive.
The event will combine thoughtfully curated vendor marketplace, food, music and relaxed outdoor gathering with various “Happy Hour” specials created expressly for the event, according to a news release.
“We should not always have to leave South Augusta to enjoy a beautiful, thoughtfully designed community experience,” said Karen Gordon, Co-Founder and CEO of Growing Augusta. “We have the people, creativity, purchasing power and community spirit to gather here, support one another and celebrate the place we call home.”
Sunset in South Augusta is the second in a series of neighborhood-centered experiences designed to strengthen morale, celebrate community pride and create more opportunities for South Augusta residents to enjoy quality events close to home. The first was Jazz In The Garden at Belle Terrace Presbyterian Church Community garden.
The next event in the series will be the ticketed Candlelight Jazz: South Augusta Edition on Oct. 11.
