The inaugural Augusta Music & Songwriter Festival takes place May 15–16 in the heart of downtown Augusta at the Augusta Common.
Presented by the Greater Augusta Arts Council and Growing Augusta, the two-day festival brings together live music, artistry, storytelling, and collaboration, according to a news release.
“Music has a way of bringing people together in a way nothing else can,” said Denise Tucker, Executive Director of the Greater Augusta Arts Council. “This festival creates space for artists to share their stories and for our community to gather, connect and experience something special together.”
The festival kicks off Friday from 5 to 9:40 p.m. with a mix of emerging and established artists, culminating with a performance by Shawn Mullins. (Read an interview with Mullins’ prior to his September 2024 performance at the Imperial Theatre here.)

Main Stage Performances:
- 5:30 p.m. – Elli Perry
- 6:15 p.m.– Muz Mercer
- 7 p.m. – Travis Shaw
- 7:15 p.m. – Will McCranie
- 8:05 p.m. – Angie Aparo
- 8:50 PM – Shawn Mullins (featured performance)
Select Friday night performers will participate in a VIP tent meet and greet. The evening continues with a late-night producer competition at Humanitree House from 9 to 11 p.m., offering an intimate space for creativity and collaboration, the news release continued.



The event ramps back up at noon Saturday when it expands into a full day of music and connection, building toward a high-energy finale featuring Big K.R.I.T. at 8:45 p.m.

Evening Performances:
- 5:15 p.m. – AE the Cool
- 6 p.m. – Felly The Voice
- 6:35 p.m. – Anthony David
- 7:40 p.m. – Trap Jazz
- 8:45 p.m. – Big K.R.I.T.
Included as part of the festival admission (just present your festival wristband) workshops will be held at Augusta & Co. located at 1010 Broad St. on Saturday. The sessions provide an opportunity to learn directly from industry professionals in an engaging and accessible setting.
From noon to 1 p.m., there will be a songwriter publishing masterclass with DJ Chuck T, and from 1:30 to 3 p.m. will be a songwriter masterclass with Felly The Voice
