Aiken Technical College held an open house and community showcase event on Wednesday, Sept. 10, to celebrate and recognize a year of impact for its Knights Corner Food Pantry.
The food pantry, which opened in fall 2024, was created to address food insecurity challenges college students encounter. It has been supported through a partnership with Golden Harvest Food Bank and grant funds from the Community Foundation for the CSRA, according to a news release.
The pantry has assisted over 200 individuals during the 2024-2025 academic year.
The Knights Corner Food Pantry is open for walk-ins Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon. The pantry offers canned goods, grab-and-go snacks and ready-to-eat meals, according to the Aiken Tech website.
“We’re here to help ensure you have access to nutritious food on and off campus,” the website said.
