After transitioning to a donation only center earlier this year, the Wrightsboro Road Goodwill Retail Training Store and Donation Center is celebrating grand reopening on July 30.
“You asked. We listened,” was the headline for the email announcement July 20.
Goodwill heard from community members who wanted the Wrightsboro store to return, a news release said. After previously leasing the property, Goodwill has now purchased the location.
“We are grateful that the Wrightsboro community made it clear how much this location matters,” said Leah Pontani, Chief Mission Officer for Goodwill of Middle Georgia & the CSRA. “By reopening the store and making a long-term investment in this property, we can continue providing a convenient place for local residents to shop and donate while supporting education, job training and career services for people throughout Augusta and the surrounding communities.”
The reopening event is planned for 9 a.m. July 30. The retail store at 3362 Wrightsboro Road will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Donation hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m.; to 6 p.m. Sunday.
