Yelp releases top eateries in the Augusta area

Did your favorite spot make Yelp’s 2024 Top Favorite Places to eat?

Yelp Augusta recently released its Top 25 spots to grab a bite or a cup of Joe and includes a variety of different types of cuisine from Mexican and Japanese to Indian and down-home Southern style food.  (Find the list here.)

Buona Caffe Artisan Roasted Coffee ranked in the ninth spot and is the only coffee shop on the list.

“We are thrilled to be included on this list of amazing local restaurants, especially since we were the only coffee bar on the list and there are so many excellent coffee bars in our area. All the credit goes to our staff – our roaster, the baristas, and our bakers – who give so much of themselves to give our customers a great experience. The last month has been pretty stressful for all of us, and this was a very, very nice surprise,” said Pat Curry who started the shop with her husband John in 2013.

Yelp Elites voted for the top spots which reach outside Augusta and the Martinez-Evans area to Waynesboro’s Peach Pit Cantina, Christine’s Farm to Fork in Edgefield, S.C., and Park Avenue Oyster Bar and Grill and Taj Aiken Indian Cuisine, both of Aiken.

“To determine the Top Places to Eat in Augusta in 2024, according to Yelp Elites, we identified businesses in the restaurants category, then ranked those spots using a number of factors, including the total volume and ratings of reviews given by Yelp Elite Squad members between August 2023 and August 2024. Only businesses in and around the Augusta area were considered,” according to the website.

Businesses were marked open as of Aug. 15 and had a passing health score as of Sept. 17.
