The workshops aim to equip local job seekers with the skills and confidence to make a strong impression on potential employers, according to a news release from Goodwill.

The two workshops will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Job Connection, 3179 Washington Rd. and from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Job Connection, 3120 Peach Orchard Rd.

“We want to ensure that every job seeker who walks into the expo is fully prepared to seize the opportunities available to them,” said Carlye Thompson, Senior Director of Career Services at Goodwill, in the release. “These workshops are our way of providing the tools they need to succeed and secure meaningful employment.”

“The workshops are designed to prepare attendees for every aspect of the job search process, from crafting a standout resume to acing the interview. Each session will provide practical advice and hands-on support to help participants navigate the expo with confidence,” the release continued.

Workshop participants will receive a certificate for two free professional clothing items from a Goodwill industries store to give them something to wear to the expo.

The Career and Resource Expo will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 9, at the Snelling Conference Center, 3165 Washington Rd. Suite D.
