Second annual Columbia County Arts at the Plaza scheduled for April 26

Performances in drama, band ensembles, honor chorus and visual arts, by students grades K-12 will be April 26 at the Columbia County Performing Arts Center.

Students’ visual artwork will be on display and prints available for sale, with profits benefitting the Columbia County School District Foundation. New to the event this year is an art garden in which guests will be able to see the county’s art teachers and National Art Honor Society students in action as they
create works of art on canvas, according to a news release.

Participants will be able to create their own artwork in a “make-and-take” station, and at 6 p.m., the winner of the first Columbia County School District Fine Arts Scholarship will be named.

Arts at the Plaza will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and takes place in conjunction with the weekly Evans Market next to the Performing Arts Center.
