Richmond County magnet school applications being accepted for the 2024-2025 school year

Applications for Richmond County magnet schools are being accepted for students in elementary, middle, and high school until Jan. 6, 2025.

“School choice gives families the chance to find programs that fit their children’s interests and academic goals,” said Brian Hadden, Richmond County School Options Program Specialist, in a news release from the school system. “We’re proud of our nationally recognized magnet schools and also offer career-focused programs in fields like cybersecurity, healthcare and skilled trades to prepare students for the future.”

Students applying to magnet schools must complete academic testing, and applicants for John S. Davidson Fine Arts Magnet School must also pass auditions if they meet initial requirements.

Richmond County magnet schools include A.R. Johnson Health Science & Engineering Magnet School, C.T. Walker Traditional Magnet School, John S. Davidson Fine Arts Magnet School and  Richmond County Technical Career Magnet School.
