Photojournalism: Sgt. Slaughter draws crowds at Augusta JoeFest on June 10

Comic book and GI Joe fans came out in full force June 10 for the second day of the annual JoeFest Toy and Comic Convention at the Augusta Convention Center.

Sgt. Slaughter was a big draw for the Saturday crowd. A former U.S. Marine, he became not only a well-known WWE wrestler but was made into a GI Joe cartoon character and action figure.

Dozens of vendors sold comic books, action figures and other types of memorabilia.
