Palmetto Citizens to hold ribbon cuttings in Waynesboro and Hephizbah

Southern Bank has transition to become Palmetto Citizens Federal Credit Union.

Palmetto Citizens officially opened its branches in Waynesboro, Sardis, Gibson and Hephzibah on Aug. 3 and grand opening celebrations are planned for Waynesboro at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 24, and Hephizbah at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25.

Robert Dozier, president and CEO of Palmetto Citizens Federal Credit Union, will make remark and there will be a ribbon cutting and community check presentation.

“The grand opening celebration recognizes the credit union’s commitment to serving (Burke County and Hephzibah) through relationship-focused banking while investing in the community through local partnerships and financial education. Guests will also hear from Palmetto Citizens leadership about the credit union’s long-term vision for serving Georgia,” according to a news release.

Palmetto Citizens is located at 855 Liberty St., Waynesboro and in Hephzibah at 2455 Highway 88.
