Nursing sorority celebrates chartering anniversary

Phi Chi Chapter, Incorporated of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Incorporated® celebrated its 48th
Chartering Anniversary on May 31, 2025, at the Kroc Center with 29 sorors including
five original members in attendance.

This gathering was a combination of paying tribute to the members that were responsible for spearheading/formulating this chapter, expression of the occasion, tribute to the deceased members, a beautiful rendition of a song, identifying those receiving chapter and years of service awards, mingling together and delicious food, according to a news release.

Also, the charter members were allowed time to share some memorable events that occurred as they that made this chapter possible.

Chi Eta Phi Sorority is a professional organization for registered professional nurses and student
nurses (male and female) representing many cultures and diverse ethnic backgrounds. More than
9000 registered nurses and student nurses hold membership in this sorority with the motto:
Service for Humanity. The colors are green and yellow. The turtle is the mascot. This group of
dedicated nurses believe in the importance of the historical past as a beacon and directional force
in preparing for the future.

Phi Chi Chapter is willing and available to perform health presentations and/or workshops upon
requests in the CSRA. Mrs. Lorraine Stephens is the president, the release continued.
