Nursing organization welcomes new members

The Phi Chi Chapter of Chi Eta Phi Sorority Inc. added three new members to its sisterhood on Nov. 9, 2024.

Trekesha Broady, Patricia Salley and Brenda Turner-Mims completed the
mandatory requirements and were welcomed by the chapter members and assigned a mentor for a smooth transition.

Broady, a graduate of Georgia Southern University and University of South Alabama, is currently enrolled at Georgia Southern as a DNP student and is employed at Wellstar MCG Health Hospital;
Salley, a graduate of Thomas Edison State University, Trenton, New Jersey, works at
Wellstar MCG Health Hospital; and Turner-Mims, a graduate of South University in Savannah, is studying there for her master’s degree. She is employed at the VA Medical Center.

Chi Eta Phi Sorority Inc., started in 1932, is a professional nursing organization for registered professional nurses and student nurses (both male and female) and represents many cultures and diverse ethnic backgrounds. The local chapter was organized on May 21, 1977 and has more than 80 active members.
