Nearly 100 Richmond County students were nominated by school staff for their exceptional ability and achievement in this year’s application process. Following district-level interviews and auditions, 60 students advanced to the state level. Finalists were selected by state reviewers after submitting applications, video auditions, and in-person interviews.

Sponsored by the Georgia Department of Education and the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement, GHP is designed to provide intellectually gifted and artistically talented students with educational experiences that foster critical thinking, creativity and leadership. The program is fully funded by the state and is provided at no cost to participants.
