Columbia County announced its lane closures for June 17-28.
Multiple portions of Furys Ferry Road will experience lane closures through June 28.
Lanes will be closed on a stretch of Furys Ferry between Rivermont Drive and Culbreath Drive from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through June 28. An intermittent, temporary lane closure on Hardy McManus Road at the intersection with Furys Ferry Road will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., June 24-28. Also, there will be lane closures at Sullivan Hartfield Road from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 24-28.
The temporary lane closures are associated with the roadway widening project for Furys Ferry Road.
Paving on North Fairview Drive will force intermittent, temporary lane closures from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 19-June 27.
Lane closures are planned Lewiston Road between Columbia Road to Gateway Boulevard for signal and concrete work. The closures will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 24-28.
Speed humps will be installed on Faircloth Drive June 18-26.
Construction will take place in two phases, according to a news release from Columbia County.
The eight parking stalls (four on each side) on Faircloth Drive will be closed. For questions regarding parking, call Engineering Services Division (706) 868-3356.
Traffic signals will be installed at Harlem Grovetown Road and Old Louisville Road from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 25-26.
“Whenever you approach a work zone: slow down; allow extra distance between vehicles; watch for advanced warning signs; obey road crew flaggers; and expect the unexpected. If possible, please plan to take an alternate route and/or allow additional time for commuting during this timeframe,” said a news release from Columbia County.
