News You Can Use: Columbia County lane closures the first week of October 2025

Several lane closures are planned in Columbia County for the first few days of October as road work continues.

Intermittent, temporary lane closures at the intersection of Furys Ferry Road at North Belair Road/Mullikin Road will be nightly from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Oct. 2-8.

Intermittent temporary lane closures on Louisville Road will be from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.from Oct. 2-10.

Intermittent temporary lane closures on Baker Place Road. Due to road construction, the lane closures will be from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Oct. 1-8.  

Temporary lane closures at the intersection of Horizon South Parkway and Gateway Boulevard will be from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 2.

Intermittent temporary lane closure will be on Shucraft Road from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Sept. 30 through Oct. 7.

All road work is weather permitting.

“Whenever you approach a work zone: slow down; allow extra distance between vehicles; watch for advanced warning signs; obey road crew flaggers; and expect the unexpected. If possible, please plan to take an alternate route and/or allow additional time for commuting during this timeframe,” according to  news release.
