News You Can Use: Columbia County lane closures from June 10-14, 2024

As road construction continues in Columbia County, here are a few streets that will have lane closures over the next week.

Oakley Pirkle Road: Due to resurfacing activities, the scheduled activities will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Monday, June 10, 2024, to Friday, June 14, 2024. Weather permitting.

South Old Belair Road Lane: Due to resurfacing activities, the scheduled activities will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, June 10, 2024, to Friday, June 14, 2024. Weather permitting.

Faircloth Drive and Government Center Way: Due to pavement resurfacing activities. The scheduled work will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, June 10, 2024 to Friday, June 14, 2024. Weather permitting.

If you have any questions regarding parking while this work is being performed, call the Engineering Services Division by phone at (706) 868-3356 or by email at engineeringservices@columbiacountyga.gov.

Furys Ferry Road: Due to the road widening project, Furys Ferry Road between Rivermont Drive and Culbreath Drive will be closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2024 to Tuesday, June 18, 2024.

Also, Furys Ferry Road at North Belair Road from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. from June 4, 2024 to Wednesday, June 12, 2024.  Expect delays. Please seek an alternate route if possible.

Motorists are advised to expect delays, exercise caution, and reduce their speed while traveling through work zones. If possible, please plan to take an alternate route or allow additional time for commuting during this timeframe.
