News You Can Use: Columbia County lane closures for the week of July 29

Work continues with the Fury’s Ferry Road widening project.

From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 30 to Aug. 2, there will be a temporary lane closure on North Belair Road at the Fury’s Ferry Road intersection, according to a news release from Columbia County.

Also related to the same project, there will be temporary lane closures at Blackstone Camp Road, Sullivan Hartfield Road, Malone Way and Oleander Drive from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, July 29 to Friday, Aug. 9.

There will be intermittent, temporary lane closures on the Lewiston Road at the Diverging Diamond Interchange on the westbound on-ramp and on the northbound through lane from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Aug. 1, weather permitting, according to a separate news release from the county.

“Motorists are advised to expect delays, exercise caution and reduce their speed while traveling through work zones. If possible, please plan to take an alternate route or allow additional time for commuting during this timeframe,” the new release said.
