Road work will force lane closures in a few areas of Columbia County beginning July 10.
Due to road resurfacing, lane closures on Halali Farm Road will be from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. July 10-13, and on Blanchard Road from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. July 10-17, weather permitting.
Also, road resurfacing continues on Brown Circle. The work began July 1 and has been extended to July 18. Lane closures are expected from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
County officials urge caution in work zones.
“Whenever you approach a work zone: slow down; allow extra distance between vehicles; watch for advanced warning signs; obey road crew flaggers; and expect the unexpected. If possible, please plan to take an alternate route and/or allow additional time for commuting during this timeframe,” said a news release from the county.
