Road work continues in Columbia County with the latest lane closures scheduled.
A temporary lane closure at the intersection of Furys Ferry Road and Hardy McManus Road is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, to Thursday, Feb. 26.
Other ongoing lane closures are occurring on Furys Ferry Road from Hardy McManus Road to the South Carolina state line. They are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. from Monday, Feb. 23, 2026, until Friday, March 6.



The temporary lane closure is associated with the roadway-widening project for Furys Ferry Road, according to a county news release.
Also Columbia County Water Utility will be temporarily closing lanes on Mullikin Road at its intersection with Furys Ferry Road for scheduled utility repair from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Feb. 24.
Motorists are advised to expect delays, exercise caution, and reduce their speed while traveling through work zones. If possible, please plan to take an alternate route or allow additional time for commuting during this timeframe, a news release said.
