New Goodwill donation site opens in Evans

A new Goodwill donation site has opened at 703 Fury’s Ferry Road in Evans.

The site represents a meaningful partnership between Goodwill of Middle Georgia and the CSRA and Gospel Water Branch Baptist Church, working together to help individuals and families thrive, according to a news release. A ribbon cutting was held Aug. 21

“This isn’t just about collecting donations. It’s about changing lives,” said Jennifer Tyner, Vice President for Marketing and Development at Goodwill in the release. “When someone donates at this site, they’re helping a neighbor gain confidence, get a job, or go to college. And that’s the kind of impact we can make when we work together as a community.”

“At Gospel Water Branch, we’ve always believed in reaching our community with the love and hope of Jesus Christ, not just through words, but through action,” said the Rev. Robert L. Ramsey, Pastor of Gospel Water Branch Baptist Church. “Partnering with Goodwill allows us to live out our calling as the ‘Church that cares.’ When our church family gives, we’re helping someone get a second chance, find purpose, and experience the power of the Lord in a real and life-changing way.”

The donation site will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday.
