Cody Bolden and the Roadhands will celebrate the release of his new single “Keep You Wishing” Friday, Aug. 7.
The performance at Augusta’s Thunder Road, 2260 Wheeless Road, represents more than a concert—it’s the latest chapter in a remarkable leap of faith, according to a news release.
After years of building PIE BAR, Bolden and his wife, Lauren, decided to sell the company so Cody could pursue his music dream full time. That leap became the foundation for ‘Menace To Myself,’ his forthcoming album due Oct. 2, and a new chapter centered on songwriting, performing, and sharing stories inspired by the South.
Originally from Lineville, Alabama, and now based in Canton, Georgia, Cody uses storytelling to celebrate the people, traditions, folklore, and everyday experiences that shape life across the region.
From his backyard songwriting shed in Canton to MadLife Studios and Cream Fleece Studios in Woodstock, “Menace To Myself” is a fully Georgia-made album. It was recorded by GRAMMY-nominated engineer Steven Morrison (Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam, Martina McBride), mixed and mastered by GRAMMY-winning engineer Luke Campolieta (Megan Moroney, Indigo Girls, Sugarland), produced by Cody Bolden, and pressed to vinyl at Echo Base in Athens.
The show will begin at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10.
