Music, Mimosas and Menopause scheduled for July 26

Weight gain, night sweats, hot flashes, mood changes, brain fog are just a few of the symptoms women may experience during perimenopause and menospause.

Beginning at noon July 26 at the Columbia County Performing Arts Center, women can learn more about managing those hormonal changes at an expert-led event called Music, Mimosas and Menopause. For ticket information, go here.

Dr. Donna Adams-Pickett, an obstetrician/gynecologist and founder of Augusta Women’s Health Center who has served the Augusta community for more than two decades, is passionate about improving access to quality, culturally responsive healthcare and creating safe spaces for education and empowerment.

Featured Speakers Include:

  • Dr. Catherine Toomer, founder of The Total Weight Care Institute and host of The Dr. Toomer Talk Show, will break down the why behind hormonal weight gain and share practical strategies to help women regain control of their wellness in midlife.
  • Dr. W. Troy Austin and his team from Southeastern Aesthetic Surgery will present effective skincare and aesthetic solutions for all skin types—designed to help women look and feel vibrant, confident, and refreshed.
  • Morgan Fordham of Azalea Pharmacy will educate attendees on customized compounded pharmaceutical options tailored to women navigating perimenopause and menopause. Attendees may even receive personalized product samples to take home.
  • Erica Hook McNeill, owner and physical therapist at McNeill Physical Therapy and Wellness, will address pelvic floor and bladder changes associated with menopause, offering guidance on maintaining strength and function.
  • Dr. Faye Hargrove, psychologist and CEO of Better Choices Group, will speak on managing the anxiety and stress that often accompany menopause, with tools for emotional resilience and mental clarity.

Proceeds from this tax-deductible event to benefit the Four Girls For Girls Foundation, which is dedicated to improving healthcare education and outcomes for women and children in underserved communities.
