A 7-year-old Great Pyrenees named Mashed Potato is Augusta’s Next Top Dog.

The Seventh Annual Holiday Market and Augusta’s Next Top Dog event was held Oct. 14 at Pendleton King Park. The fundraiser for That’s What Friends Are For featured nine different categories ranging from most glamorous dog to biggest beast, according to the Facebook event.

Other competition categories included Most Glamorous (female), Most Handsome (male), Best Costume, Biggest Beast (50+ lbs), Tiniest Tot (20 lbs & under), Perfectly Imperfect (disabilities/deformities), Best Senior, and Best Rescue Story.

Also, there were multiple vendors at the event.

The money goes toward That’s What Friends Are For, Inc., an organization focused on spay and neuter and medical interventions.
