March 19 ribbon cutting set for new Thomson Goodwill

THOMSON — A grand opening and ribbon cutting for the newest Goodwill Retail Training Store, Donation Center and Career Center in Thomson is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 19.

Chamber and community leaders, Goodwill representatives, and special guests will celebrate this new location, which includes a retail training store and a Goodwill Career Center, providing free job training and career development services, according to a news release.

The newest Goodwill is located at 674 Washington Rd, next to Tractor Supply

Attendees will get a first look inside the store, meet the Goodwill team and learn how every donation and purchase fuels job training, education, and career services that transform lives, the release said.

“This is more than a store opening—it’s a celebration of opportunity,” said DeWayne Cuffie, Senior Vice President of Operations. “With every donation and purchase, we are investing in people, helping them gain the skills and confidence needed to succeed in today’s job market.”

The Goodwill Retail Training Store & Donation Center will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Donation hour are the same.

The career center will be open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday as well as during the March 19 grand opening.
