For many, the holiday season isn’t always bright. Grief, stress, illness, financial strain, loneliness, or difficult memories can make this time of year feel heavy. On the longest night of the year, there’s a space for quiet, contemplative service of comfort and hope.
Join the congregation at St. Augustine of Canterbury Episcopal Church, 3321 Wheeler Rd., at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 22 for the Longest Night service.
“Come as you are. Bring your sorrow, your questions, your tears, or your longing for peace. You are not alone. On the longest night, we remember that even the smallest light shines in the darkness… and the darkness has not overcome it,” according to the church’s website.
All are welcome. The service offers no expectations, no pressure… just a place to breathe.
