Laney Hall of Fame Awards and Induction Ceremony scheduled for March 14

The Lucy Craft Laney High School Alumni Association, Inc.’s 10th Annual Hall of Fame Awards and Induction Ceremony will be at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 14 at First Baptist Church of Augusta, 3500 Walton Way Extension.

“This formal awards and induction ceremony is held annually to honor distinguished alumni of Haines Normal & Industrial Institute and Lucy Craft Laney High School who have made significant and memorable contributions in various disciplines—such as business, education, food services, and healthcare—through their exceptional achievements, conduct, dedication, leadership, and performance. These honorees have brought credit and honor to themselves and serve as an inspiration for future graduates to perform and serve in the same spirit,” according to a news release.

The 2026 Alumni Hall of Fame Inductees include:

  • Ronnie C. Brown, Retired Business Owner/CEO, Ronlyn Food Services, Inc.
  • Sherrill V. Dunn, Charter Member, LCLHSAA, Retired Office Administrator, RCSS
  • Dr. Rosa S. Ishmal, Retired Educator Professional, Aiken County & RCSS Districts
  • Mary H. Bell-Stoney, Posthumous Recognition, Named First LCLHS “Miss Laney,” in 1950
  • Latray Walker, Business Owner/CEO & Certified Speech-Language Pathologist, Signature Speech
    Services, Inc.

Russell Joel Brown, who performed with the touring company of Disney’s “The Lion King” as well as on Broadway, will provide entertainment.
