Columbia County will once again welcome the national top junior college women’s soccer programs when the 2026 NJCAA Division I Women’s Soccer National Championship returns to Blanchard Woods Park Nov. 15-21.
The national championship field will include eight regional champions and four at-large selections. These teams will compete in group play Nov. 15-17, followed by the semifinals on Nov. 19 and the National Championship game on Saturday Nov. 21 at
4 p.m., according to a news release.
“This championship is an opportunity to welcome outstanding student-athletes, coaches and their fans from across the country to our community,” said John Luton, Columbia County Community Services Director. “Blanchard Woods Park continues to prove itself as a championship caliber facility, and it showcases Columbia County as a premier destination for national sports championships. This event creates a meaningful sports-tourism opportunity for Columbia County, and we expect this championship to generate a significant visitor spending for Columbia County hotels, restaurants and businesses.”
This will be the third time Blanchard Woods Park has hosted the NJCAA Division I Women’s Soccer National Championship, following the 2020-21 and 2022 tournaments. In 2020-21, the park also hosted the NJCAA Division II Women’s Soccer National Championship. Blanchard Woods Park and Columbia County will now have hosted seven collegiate soccer
national championships since the park opened in 2007.
“Community members are encouraged to attend matches, volunteer and help welcome teams, families and fans from across the country,” the release said. “The tournament offers a unique opportunity for residents to experience national championship competition right at home.”
