Jaguars remain fourth at the West Coast Conference Championship

FAIRFIELD, Calif. – The Augusta University women’s golf team remains in fourth place on April 26 after two rounds of the West Coast Conference Championship. The Jaguars are being led by Sara Adams who is in the top 10 with one round to play. Pepperdine remains on top of the team leaderboard and are followed by Oregon State University.

Adams shot a 2-over-par 74 on Sunday with a round that featured two birdies, a bogey and a pair of double bogeys. She is two shots out of the top five.

Freshman Sofia Valera also posted a 74 in th second round. She made three birdies. Marine Legentil was 3-over-par for her second round. Legentil had one birdie and four bogeys and the rest pars on the round. Puntita Pawichai shot a 76 in round two. She had a pair of birdies on the afternoon.

The noncounting score was turned in by Keira Gonzalez-McCarthy, who subbed in for the round. She posted an 81.

The final round will take place Monday with the Augusta tee times starting at 11:25 a.m. (EST).
