Jaguar women finish fourth at the UNF Collegiate

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Augusta University women’s golf team finished in a tie for fourth place at the Momentum Transportation UNF Intercollegiate on Feb. 24. Sara Adams and Sofia Valera both finished inside the top 10 on the individual front. Oklahoma State won the event followed by Florida Gulf Coast and Tulsa. Augusta and South Florida finished in a tie for fourth.

Adams turned in the best round of the day for the Jags as she shot a 1-under-par 71. Her day consisted of four birdies and three bogeys and jumped up six spots to finish in seventh place. 

Valera struggled a bit today and shot a 77 to finish in 10th place. 

Puntita Pawichai had the third counting score for the day with a 78. 

Marine Legentil fired a final round 78.

Freshman Danielle Higbee competed as an individual this week and shot a 77 on Tuesday. She did card a pair of birdies. 

The Jaguar women will next be in action at the More Than Golfer Invitational hosted by Old Barnwell Golf Club in Aiken, S.C. The event runs March 1-3.
