The Augusta Garden Club held a ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony for the IRIS sculpture crafted by Colleen Beyer Stewart and Wesley L. Stewart on May 24.

Located at 511 Reynolds Street, the sculpture is “a stunning testament to creativity and artistry, stands as a symbol of beauty and inspiration for the Augusta community,” according to a news release.

A donation from the Georgia Rehabilitation Institute made the sculpture creation possible, reflecting their commitment to supporting the arts and enhancing accessible public art, the release continued.

“We are thrilled to unveil the IRIS sculpture and celebrate the artistic talents of Colleen Beyer Stewart and Wesley L. Stewart. This sculpture embodies the spirit of our community and serves as a vibrant addition to our cityscape,” said Denise Tucker, Public Art Manager at the Greater Augusta Arts Council.
