In pictures: U.S. Men’s Senior National Team (Over-40) soccer camp

NORTH AUGUSTA – The U.S. Men’s Senior National Team (Over-40) hosted a soccer clinic for youth soccer players May 25 at the Hammonds Ferry Soccer Complex in North Augusta before heading to the Senior World Cup in Thailand.

Monday wrapped up a weekend of activities for the team which used North Augusta as a final staging area before paring down the team to the 25 members who will be part of the World Cup team.

The team played two matches over the weekend plus worked with youth soccer players in a camp at Hammonds Ferry Soccer Park before leaving for Charlotte, North Carolina Monday afternoon.

The team heads to Thailand and will play beginning June 1 in a bracket that features England, the host nation of Thailand and Taiwan.

The team’s coach, David Jones, lives in Graniteville.
